Ingredients for 6 people
  • 1 box Barilla® Veggie Penne
  • 1 jar Barilla® Roasted Garlic Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons, Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Fennel bulb, sliced thin
  • 1 pound small Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 10 basil leaves, sliced thin

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the directions.
  • Meanwhile sauté sliced fennel in olive oil in a skillet for 2-3 minute or until slightly golden in color.
  • Add the shrimp and sauté for 1 minute, or until opaque and season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the Roasted Garlic Sauce and ½ cup of pasta cooking water then bring to a simmer.
  • Drain the pasta with the sauce and stir to combine.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and fold in the basil.
