Barilla® Whole Grain Elbows

with Barilla Tuscan Herb Sauce, Fresh Basil, Toasted Pine Nuts, Pancetta, Gorgonzola Cheese



Ingredients for 8 people

  • 1 box Barilla® Whole Grain Elbows
  • 1 jar Barilla® Tuscan Herb Sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup Pancetta, rendered
  • 1/4 cup Pine Nuts, toasted
  • 8 leaves Fresh Basil
  • 1/2 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil
  2. 2
    Meanwhile in 2 separate skillets, toast the pine nuts until lightly browned, about 5 minutes over medium heat

    Sauté the pancetta until crispy
  4. 4
    Remove from the skillet and drain on a paper towel
  5. 5
    In a large sauce pan, heat the Barilla Tuscan Herb sauce and 1 cup of water, season with salt and pepper to taste

    Cook the pasta according to package directions, drain and toss with the sauce

    Remove the skillet from the heat and top with cheese, basil, pine nuts and pancetta
