How to caramelize a mold

forma
DIFFICULTY
Easy

In addition to decorating your favorite molds, caramel provides a delicious slightly bitter after taste to your favorite desserts.

Ingredients for 4 people

3 tbsp water
1 ½ cups sugar

Preparation

1
Put the water and sugar into a small saucepan. Place on the heat and stir until the sugar dissolves.

2
Use a ladle to pour the caramel into whatever mold you want, baring in mind that the thickness will depend on how much caramel you add.

3
If the caramel hardens too quickly, place the saucepan over medium heat and melt it again without letting it brown further.

4
Bare in mind that if you fill the mold with a wet batter, the caramel will tend to melt.

5
To remove caramel residue from your utensils, simply place them in a pot of boiling water.
