2 tbspolive oil

2shallots

4 clovesgarlic

1 - 2 tspchili flakes

1 1/2 cupscherry tomatoes

1/2 cuppasta water

1 1/2 tspdry basil

1/4 cupfresh cream

Fresh parmesan cheese

Fresh basil

Method

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the Barilla Love Pasta until al dente (about 7 minutes).

Step 2

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shallots, garlic, and chili flakes, and cook until the shallots are translucent (about 5 minutes).

Step 3

Add cherry tomatoes, cover, and cook for another 5-10 minutes, or until the tomatoes have softened. Remove from heat, then blend the mixture for a smooth sauce.

Step 4

Add tomato paste to the same pan and cook over medium heat for 2 minutes. Then, return the blended sauce to the pan.

Step 5

Finish the sauce by adding pasta water, dried basil and fresh cream. Stir to combine.

Step 6

Serve and garnish with fresh parmesan and parsley.
