Learn the art of perfect pasta and master the Italian classics at Sydney's top Italian cooking school.

Hands-on Classes: $100 per person 
Demonstrations & Master Classes: $65 per person

The cost of $100 or $65 per person includes antipasto on arrival; all food and a goodie bag with Barilla products and the chef’s recipes to take home. 

Welcome to Casa Barilla, the authentic Italian Cooking School in Sydney, where local and international food experts share their knowledge of Italian food in a fun and interactive atmosphere. This year we have a diverse program of hands on classes, demonstrations and Master Classes; taking you on a culinary journey through Italy's gastronomic regions and revealing the golden rules to authentic Italian cuisine. 

Each hands-on class is intimate, with only 16 people, and interactive: you learn, you cook and you eat! At demonstrations and Chef Master Classes, participants watch from their table; tasting the delicious results of the Chefs efforts throughout the class. 

Team Building classes are also available as customised hands-on experience for corporate teams. Groups of up to 24 can be catered for. Please contact us to tailor a class for your team.

THE SICILIAN WAY WITH LINO SAURO | Masterclass

 

Lino Sauro of Olio, Kensington Street will be hosting a Sicilian masterclass. In Lino's own words, "Sicilian food is 'different', some would say, better". Try three delicious dishes as presented by Lino:

 

  • First dish: Risoni with red wine braised octopus and bone marrow
  • Second dish: Tagliatelle with sun dried tomatoes and roast almond pesto
  • Third dish: Sicilian Cassata [according to Lino]

GLUTEN FREE WITH GABRIELE TADDEUCCI  | Masterclass

 

Did you know that Gabriele is a Coeliac? Who better to show you how delicious Gluten Free can be! Gabriele Taddeucci, of The Star, will take you through two delicious and Gluten Free dishes in this masterclass.

Two of Sydney's best known Italian chef's will be hosting this masterclass together! This is an event not to be missed, and of course, delicious Italian food is a given.

EASY ENTERTAINING WITH FRANCES ABDALLAOUI | Hands-on class

 

This hands-on class is perfectly timed coming into summer. Learn tips and tricks and easy, simple recipes with Frances Abdallaoui, Food Director of [iconic] The Australian Women's Weekly.

NEW WAYS WITH PESTO | Hands-on class

 

Pesto should be a staple in every household! Learn simple, delicious and versatile recipes that use Pesto in this fun and interactive hands-on cooking class. 

  • First recipe: Kipfler potato and crispy prosciutto tortino with poached egg, and Sundried Tomato Pesto dressing 
  • Second recipe: Linguine with Pesto Genovese with pancetta and baby spinach

When: 11am, Saturday 23rd November AND

      11am, Saturday 30th November

 

 

NICOLA PELLIGANA & ASHLEY ALEXANDER | PASTA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CONTESTANT & JUDGE | Masterclass

 

 

Fresh from competing at the Pasta World Championship in Paris, Nicola Pelligana will be hosting a masterclass and showcasing the dishes he created during the competition. Ashley Alexander, from Gather & Feast had the honour this year of judging the Pasta World Championship. Ashley will speak about her experience in Paris. This is an event not to be missed.
