1 tsp | salt-packed capers, soaked |
3 cups | cherry tomatoes, quartered |
1 cup | Kalamata olives, halved |
6 oz can | tuna in olive oil, drained |
1/2 cup | fresh basil, chopped |
1 cup | fresh buffalo mozzarella cheese (may substitute fresh mozzarella) |
1/3 cup | extra virgin olive oil |
To taste | salt and pepper |

Method
Step 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Step 2
Soak capers in a bowl of water for 30 minutes to remove excess salt.
Step 3
Combine cherry tomatoes, olives, tuna, mozzarella, basil, salt, pepper, and olive oil in a large bowl. Set aside to marinate 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Step 4
Add Barilla Rotini pasta to boiling water and cook according to package directions.
Step 5
Drain, place on flat baking pan, drizzle with olive oil, and let cool.
Step 6
Drain capers and mince finely; add capers to the large bowl.
Step 7
When Barilla Rotini pasta is cool, add to bowl. Toss all ingredients, season with additional salt and pepper as desired, and serve.
