Barilla® Campanelle

with Creamy Barilla® Traditional Sauce, Bacon, & Zucchini

Ingredients

Serves 8

1 Box Barilla® Campanelle
1 Jar Barilla® Traditional Tomato sauce
4 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 Onion, chopped
1 Cup bacon, cut julienne
2 Zucchini, diced
1 Cup water
To taste Salt and black pepper
½ Cup heavy cream
½ Cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated

Method

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Step 2

Meanwhile, sauté onion in olive oil for 3-4 minutes or until translucent.

Step 3

Add bacon and sauté for 4 minutes until cooked through.

Step 4

Add zucchini and sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Pour in Traditional sauce and water, bring to a simmer; season with salt and pepper. Add cream and bring to a boil.

Step 6

Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and toss with the sauce and cheese.
