Ingredients

¼Box Barilla^® Penne

1Cup Barilla^® Marinara Sauce (warm)

203-inch skewers

4tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1Clove garlic, chopped

2slices soft white bread

1Cup water

¼Pound ground beef

¼Pound ground pork

1Tablespoon Parsley, Chopped

20Leaves Fresh Basil

1Cup grated Parmigiano cheese, divided

To tasteSalt and pepper

Method

Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 425°F.

Step 2

Boil a large pot of water, then cook the pasta 1 minute less than required cooking time.

Step 3

Toss with 1 Tbsp olive oil then place on a sheet tray and set aside.

Step 4

Soak the bread in water - drain and squeeze out the excess.

Step 5

In a medium bowl, combine garlic, beef, pork, bread, ½ cup Parmigiano cheese, 1 tablespoon parsley and season with salt/pepper.

Step 6

Roll the meatballs into.

Step 7

Place meatballs on sheet tray and BAKE until golden brown (about 10-15 minutes).

Step 8

Thread 2-3 penne, 1 basil leaf and 1 meatball on each skewer.

Step 9

Serve with warm Barilla Marinara sauce sprinkled with remaining Parmigiano cheese.
