Ingredients
Serves 4
| 8 | Slices, Whole wheat bread |
| 4 | Tablespoons butter, softened |
| 4 | Tablespoons Barilla® Rustic Basil Pesto |
| 6 | Ounces fresh mozzarella, cut into ½-inch-thick slices |
| 2 | Medium tomatoes, thinly sliced |
| ½ | Cup lightly packed fresh basil leaves |

Method
Step 1
Heat a 12 inch skillet over medium.
Step 2
To assemble sandwiches, spread both sides of bread with butter. Place roll slices, a few at a time, in the sandwich press or indoor grill. Cover and cook about 4 minutes or until bread is toasted, turning if necessary.
Step 3
Immediately after bread is toasted, spread 3 tablespoons pesto on half of the roll slices. Top with mozzarella, tomato slices, and a few fresh basil leaves. Top with the remaining bread slices.
Step 4
Cook in skillet until well browned, add the remaining butter to the skillet and flip each sandwich. Cook until the cheese is melted and the sandwich is browned.
