Barilla Red Lentil Penne Pasta Baked Chicken Pasta

Ingredients

Serves 7

1 Box Barilla® Protein+™ Elbows
1 Cup Broccoli Florets
4 Cups Mozzarella Cheese Divided
1 ¾ cup 2% milk
½ Cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese divided freshly grated
¼ Cup Onion Minced
4 Eggs lightly beaten
1 Teaspoon Salt
To Taste Salt and black pepper freshly ground

Method

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Step 2

Preheat oven to 350 °F.

Step 3

Cook pasta in the boiling water for 4 minutes.

Step 4

Add broccoli and continue cooking 2 additional minutes.

Step 5

Drain and mix together, pasta, broccoli, 3 cups of mozzarella cheese, milk, ¾ cup of Parmigiano cheese, onion, eggs and seasonings in a large bowl.

Step 6

Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish.

Step 7

Sprinkle with remaining Parmigiano and mozzarella cheeses.

Step 8

Cover and bake for 40 minutes.

Step 9

Remove and let rest 10 minutes before serving.
