Marinara Sauce Recipes
Ingredients

1 | Box Barilla® Protein+™ Rotini |
1 | Jar Barilla® Marinara sauce |
4 | Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil divided |
1 | Garlic clove whole |
2 | Anchovies (optional) |
½ | Teaspoon red pepper flakes |
1 | Cup black olives pitted and sliced into rounds |
2 | Tablespoons capers preferably in salt and rinsed |
1 | Tablespoon parsley chopped |
To taste | sea salt |

Method
Step 1
Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
Step 2
In a skillet, sauté garlic in 2 tablespoons olive oil with anchovies and red pepper.
Step 3
Just before the garlic turns yellow, stir in sauce and ½ cup of water, simmer for five minutes.
Step 4
Add olives and capers, season with salt if needed.
Step 5
Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions.
Step 6
Drain pasta and toss with the sauce.
Step 7
Sprinkle with parsley and drizzle with olive oil before serving.
