Ingredients

Serves 7

1 Box Barilla® Protein+™ Spaghetti
1 Jar Barilla® Tomato & Basil Sauce
1/4 Cup extra virgin olive oil
1 Teaspoon red chili pepper flakes
1/3 Cup pine nuts

Method

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté crushed red pepper and pine nuts about 2-3 minutes or until pine nuts are golden.

Step 3

Add sauce to skillet; heat through.

Step 4

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain pasta, reserving ½ cup of the pasta cooking water.

Step 5

Add hot pasta to sauce; stir in reserved pasta water as needed. Add cheese; mix well.

Step 6

Transfer to a serving platter or bowl and serve.
