Ingredients

Serves 7

1 Box Barilla® Protein+™ Spaghetti
2 Tablespoons olive oil divided
1 Clove garlic minced
1 Red bell pepper julienne
1 Green bell pepper julienne
½ Medium red onion julienne
½ Pound boneless skinless chicken breast sliced
¾ Cup chicken broth
½ Cup Romano cheese grated
To taste Salt
To taste Black pepper freshly ground

Method

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a sauté pan; add garlic and red onion; sweat for 4 minutes.

Step 3

Add chicken and 1 tablespoon olive oil to a separate pan and cook three-fourths of the way through.

Step 4

Add the peppers to the onions and sauté for 3 minutes.

Step 5

Add chicken broth and continue cooking until reduced by half.

Step 6

Cook Spaghetti according to package directions.

Step 7

Add the chicken to the pepper and onion mixture; season the mixture with salt and pepper.

Step 8

Remove pan from the heat and stir in the Romano cheese.

Step 9

Toss chicken mixture with the cooked Spaghetti.
