Ingredients

Serves 8

1 Box Barilla® Whole Grain Thin Spaghetti
1 Jar Barilla Tomato and Basil Sauce
4 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Small Onion, diced
1 Yellow bell pepper, sliced
1/2 Cup Pecorino Romano Cheese, shredded
8 Fresh basil leaves
To taste Salt and black pepper

Method

Step 1

Cook pasta according to package directions.

Step 2

Meanwhile, sauté onion in olive oil, until slightly browned and translucent, about 4 minutes.

Step 3

Add the yellow bell pepper and stir for 3 minutes.

Step 4

Add the sauce and 1 cup of water, bring to a simmer.

Step 5

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 6

Drain pasta and toss with the sauce.

Step 7

Remove the skillet from the heat and combine with basil and cheese before serving.
