Marinara Sauce Recipes
Ingredients
Serves 8
1 | Box Barilla® Whole Grain Penne |
1 | Jar Barilla® Traditional Tomato Sauce |
1 | Pound Italian sausage casing removed |
2 | Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil |
½ | Cup water |
1 | Tablespoon fresh Italian parsley chopped |
½ | Parmigiano Reggiano cheese grated |
To Taste | salt and black pepper |

Method
Step 1
BRING a large pot of water to a boil, add salt.
Step 2
SAUTÉ sausage with olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until golden brown in color.
Step 3
ADD sauce and ½ cup of water, season with salt and black pepper.
Step 4
COOK pasta according to package directions, drain pasta.
Step 5
ADD pasta to sauce and toss to coat.
Step 6
REMOVE skillet from heat.
Step 7
TOP with parsley and cheese before serving.
