Easy One-Pot Tortellini with Butter & Sage

Tortellini has all the flavors of Italian fine dining without having to leave your home.
Tips: Replace the sage with thyme and hazelnut butter for a different variation.

1 | Bag of Barilla® Cheese & Spinach Tortellini |
3 | Tablespoons butter |
½ | Cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated |
6 | Sage leaves, chopped |
To Taste | Sea Salt |

Method
Step 1
Bring a large pot of water to a boil - add salt and cook Tortellini according to package directions; reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
Step 2
Drain Tortellini and set aside. In the same pot, over medium heat, melt butter with the sage leaves.
Step 3
Once the butter has melted and starts to brown, add in half a cup of pasta water. Add Tortellini to the flavored butter and mix well. Add additional pasta water if mixture looks dry.
Step 4
Sprinkle with cheese and sea salt to taste. Enjoy!
