Ingredients
Serves 8
1 | Box Barilla® Rigatoni pasta |
1 | Jar Barilla® Traditional Tomato Sauce |
1 | Tablespoon olive oil |
1 | Medium onion, peeled and finely diced |
1 | Pound ground beef |
2 | Garlic cloves , minced |
½ | Cup , Freshly grated Parmesan cheese |
To taste | Salt and pepper |

Method
Step 1
In a large skillet, warm the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and beef. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring regularly, until the beef is fully cooked and no longer pink, and the onions are soft.
Step 2
Stir in the garlic, cook for 2 minutes more, and add the Barilla Traditional sauce and 1 cup of water. Turn the heat down to a low simmer and season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Cook the pasta according to directions.
Step 4
Drain and stir into the sauce. Serve topped generously with Parmesan cheese.
