1Box Barilla^® Love Heart-shaped Pasta

1Cup Barilla^® Marinara sauce

½Pint Cherry Tomatoes, Halved

12Ounces sweet Italian sausage

1Clove garlic, crushed

3tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

½Onion, small dice

1Red Pepper, Small Dice

1Yellow pepper, small dice

2Calabrian peppers, sliced (optional)

½Cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated

1Tablespoon Parsley, Chopped

To tasteSalt and black pepper

Method

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil, cook pasta according to package directions.

Step 2

Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat add olive oil and cook sausage until brown.

Step 3

Add onion, peppers, tomatoes, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 4

Sauté until soft, 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Add Calabrian peppers to desired spice level and Marinara sauce. Cook an additional 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

Drain pasta and add to the sauce with ½ of the cheese. Mix well and top with remaining cheese. Garnish with parsley.
