Ingredients

Ingredients for 8 people       

  • 1 box Barilla® Whole Grain Penne
  • 1 pound Italian sausage casing removed
  • 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 jar Barilla® Traditional Sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh Italian parsley chopped
  • ½ Parmigiano Reggiano cheese grated
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • BRING a large pot of water to a boil, add salt
  • SAUTÉ sausage with olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until golden brown in color



  • ADD sauce and ½ cup of water, season with salt and black pepper



  • COOK pasta according to package directions, drain pasta

  • ADD pasta to sauce and toss to coat



  • REMOVE skillet from heat

  • TOP with parsley and cheese before serving
