This recipe calls for a delicate fennel bulb, cooked with garlic and shrimp in marinara sauce, then tossed with perfectly al dente Barilla Spaghetti pasta for a delicious meal.

Ingredients

Serves 4

1 box Barilla Spaghetti pasta
1 jar marinara sauce
4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic, sliced thin
1 fennel bulb, sliced and trimmed
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tsp fresh oregano to taste
To taste salt and black pepper

Method

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Step 2

Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.

Step 3

Add garlic and fennel; sauté 2-4 minutes, or until fennel begins to soften.

Step 4

Add shrimp and sauté 5-8 minutes or until shrimp is cooked.

Step 5

Add marinara sauce, salt and pepper continue cooking 3-5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

Step 6

Cook Barilla Spaghetti pasta according to package directions and drain.

Step 7

Toss Barilla Spaghetti pasta with the sauce and top with fresh oregano to serve.
