Ingredients

Serves 5

1 box Barilla Spaghettini pasta
4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, divided
2 cloves garlic, sliced
2 tsp red pepper flakes, or to taste
3 cups canned peeled tomatoes
1 lb medium-sized shrimp, cleaned and cut lengthwise
1 tbsp parsley, chopped

Method

Step 1

Place a pot of water to boil. Meanwhile, in a skillet, sauté shrimp with 2 tbsp olive oil for 2 minutes, set aside on a plate.

Step 2

In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes. Infuse over medium heat and when it starts frying, add peeled tomatoes, season with salt and bring to simmer.

Step 3

Start cooking Barilla Spaghettini pasta. Halfway through, add 1 cup of cooking water to the sauce, and keep simmering.

Step 4

Drain pasta 1 minute short of package directions, and toss in the skillet with sauce and shrimp over high heat.

Step 5

Stir in parsley before serving.
