Volunteer Group, The Barilla Angels, Help Provide Natural Disaster Relief to Survivors

The Guardian U.S. takes a closer look at the Barilla Angels, volunteers who provide assistance to populations hit by natural disasters.
After multiple earthquakes hit the central Italy region, a volunteer team named the Barilla Angels, Barilla employees trained to provide natural disaster relief, jumped in to help. The Barilla Angels re-designed a Barilla delivery truck into a mobile food truck. With this resource, the team could provide up to 500 simple pasta recipes a day to the earthquake survivors who were unable to cook for themselves. This service provided food, comfort and human contact to people who had lost their homes, their churches and their communities.
Helping people and enjoying pasta? That’s our passion.
