Ingredients

1Box Barilla^® Spaghetti

1Jar Barilla^® Tomato & Basil Sauce

1Pound Italian sausage, crumbled

1/4Teaspoon red chili pepper flakes

1/4Cup red wine

1/2Cup Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese, Freshly Grated

10leaves fresh basil, cut into strips

Method

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Step 2

Cook sausage and red pepper flakes in a large skillet over medium-high heat about 6 minutes, breaking up clumps with a wooden spoon. Reduce heat.

Step 3

Add wine and continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 4

Add sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Cook Spaghetti according to package directions. Drain pasta and immediately add hot Spaghetti to sauce. Mix well.

Step 6

Add cheese and basil; toss lightly.

Step 7

Transfer to a serving platter or bowl.
