Ingredients

Serves 8

1 box Barilla Penne Lisce pasta
1 1/2 cups Italian sausage, crumbled
1 cup onion, chopped
2 24-oz jars mushroom-flavoured pasta sauce
1 6-oz can black olives, sliced and drained
1/4 cup Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, freshly grated
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 tbsp parsley, chopped

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 2

Cook Barilla Penne Lisce pasta according to package directions; drain and return to pot.

Step 3

Heat sausage and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Cook 7-10 minutes or until meat is cooked through, stirring occasionally.

Step 5

Stir in mushroom sauce and olives.

Step 6

Reduce heat to medium low; simmer 5 minutes.

Step 7

Add sauce mixture and Parmigiano Reggiano to hot Barilla Penne Lisce pasta; toss.

Step 8

Pour into greased 13x9 inch baking dish; cover. Bake 20 minutes then uncover.

Step 9

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over Barilla Penne Lisce pasta, then continue baking uncovered 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Step 10

Sprinkle with parsley to serve.
