Ingredients

1 box | Barilla Lasagne pasta |
4 tbsp | extra virgin olive oil |
1 | medium onion, diced |
1 lb | Italian sausage |
1/2 cup | white wine (optional) |
5 1/2 cups | marinara sauce |
1 15-oz container | fresh ricotta |
1 cup | mozzarella cheese, diced |
1/2 cup | Parmigiano Reggiano cheese (reserve 1 tbsp for top) |
To taste | salt and black pepper |

Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step 2
Boil Barilla Lasagne pasta for 8 minutes, drain; set aside.
Step 3
In a skillet, sauté onions with olive oil until translucent.
Step 4
Add sausage, salt, pepper; brown well until cooked and crumbly.
Step 5
Add wine (optional) and cook until liquid has reduced by half.
Step 6
Add 3 1/2 cups marinara sauce to the mixture and bring to boil.
Step 7
Pour 1 cup mixture in a 13x9 inch baking dish, cover with 5 sheets of Barilla Lasagne pasta, 1 cup sausage mixture, 1/2 cup ricotta and 2 tbsp Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
Step 8
Repeat 2 more layers. On the top layer, pour the remaining sauce and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese; and cover with foil. Bake for 25 minutes.
Step 9
Uncover and bake for 5 more minutes. Let rest 15 minutes before serving.
