1 lb | broccoli |
1/3 cup | extra virgin olive oil |
2 | garlic cloves, chopped |
1/4 tsp | red pepper flakes |
Pecorino romano cheese for garnish |

Method
Step 1
Wash broccoli and cut into small pieces.
Step 2
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add salt to taste.
Step 3
Add Barilla Rotini pasta and cook according to package directions.
Step 4
During the last 2 minutes of cooking time, add the broccoli.
Step 5
Drain, reserving 1/2 cup the pasta cooking water; set aside.
Step 6
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 7
Add garlic and red pepper and cook until garlic turns yellow.
Step 8
Add drained broccoli and Barilla Rotini pasta to skillet. Add some pasta cooking water if desired.
Step 9
Transfer to a serving platter or bowl, and sprinkle with pecorino romano cheese to serve.
