Ingredients

  • 1 BOX Barilla® Penne Lisce
  • 1 JAR tomato & basil sauce
  • 1 TABLESPOON (15 mL) Extra Virgin Olive Oil 
  • 1 CUP (340 g) Onion Diced
  • 3 SLICES Pancetta Chopped
  • 3 CLOVES Garlic Minced 
  • 15-OUNCES (425 g) Ricotta Cheese
  • 1/4 CUP (85 g) Mushrooms Chopped
  • 1 CUP (250 mL) Water
  • 1 TEASPOON (5 mL) Salt
  • 1/8 TEASPOON (1/2 mL) Black Pepper Freshly Ground

 



Instructions

  • HEAT oil in skillet over medium heat

     

     






  • SAUTÉ onion, pancetta, and garlic 5 minutes or until pancetta is cooked

     

     



  • REMOVE from heat




  • ADD ricotta, mushrooms, water, salt and pepper

     

     







  • WARM sauce in a saucepan

     







  • WARM sauce in a saucepan

     







  • ADD sauce to skillet; stirring until blended

     







  • POUR sauce mixture over hot pasta and toss







  • TRANSFER to a serving platter or bowl







  • SERVE with remaining sauce
