2 | Tbs panko |
½ | Tbs crushed white sesame seeds |

1 | Box Barilla® Elbows |
2 | Tbs vegan butter (or margarine) |
1 | ½ tbs flour (all purpose) |
2 | 1/5 cup unsweetened vegan milk |
1 | Tsp mild paprika |
½ | Clove garlic powder |
1 | Tbs yeast flakes |
2 | Tbs carrots purée |

Method
Step 1
In a large skillet over medium heat add vegetal and breadcrumbs; stir until they turn into golden brown for 1 or 2 minutes. Put aside.. Once cold, add the gomasio powder and the salt.

Step 2
Bring a pot of water to a boil, add salt and pour pasta to cook it according to package directions. In the meantime, start preparing the sauce.
Step 3
In a pot on low heat, melt the vegetal butter, add the flour and the yeast flakes caring about mixing well together to avoid clumps . Cook for 2 minutes on a low heat to obtain a “Roux” sauce. Then, little by little, add the vegetal milk until getting a creamy and consistent sauce for additional 3-5 minutes. Add Pepper, paprika and garlic powder and stir well. Taste the sauce and adjust with salt.

Step 4
Prepare the carrots purée by cooking carrots in salted water, drain and blend until creamy. Mix well with the béchamel .

Step 5
Once pasta is cooked until an “al dente” texture, drain . Pour pasta into the carrots sauce, mix well on a low heat for one minute.

Serve with breadcrumbs on top.
