Ingredients

1Box Barilla^® Jumbo Shells

1lb lean ground beef

1small shallot, minced

1garlic clove, minced

1tbsp tomato paste

½tbsp dried oregano

½tsp dried basil

½tsp dried rosemary

½tsp fennel

¼cup mascarpone (or ricotta)

½cup shredded mozzarella

¼cup freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano

1-2tbsp fine breadcrumbs

1tbsp finely chopped parsley

Method

Step 1

Cook Barilla Jumbo Shells in a large pot of salted boiling water until just shy of al dente. Drain and lay flat to cool.

Step 2

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with shallot and garlic until browned.

Step 3

Stir in tomato paste, oregano, basil, rosemary or fennel, salt and pepper. Cook until the mixture is concentrated and mostly dry. Remove from heat and cool.

Step 4

In a bowl, combine cooled beef mixture with mascarpone, mozzarella, Parmigiano, breadcrumbs and parsley.

Step 5

Spoon filling into one shell and gently press a second shell on top to seal.

Step 6

Lightly brush with olive oil and sprinkle with breadcrumbs and Parmigiano.

Step 7

Air fry at 400°F for 6–8 minutes until golden and crisp.

Step 8

Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
