Serves 4

320g Barilla Gluten Free Spaghetti
400g Barilla Basilico Sauce
300g Beef mince
100g Gluten free Italian sausage, removed from skin and crushed
120g Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, grated and divided into thirds
2 Slices gluten free bread, crust removed and diced
15g Parsley
8/9 Basil leaves
1 or 2 Garlic cloves, crushed
TIP Salt and black pepper, to taste

Method

Step 1

Soak the bread in water. In a separate bowl combine the mince and crushed sausage, 2/3 of the grated Parmigiano cheese, parsley, 1 chopped clove of garlic,the soaked bread (squeezing out excess water). Mix and when all comes together (very important to not overmix), shape into 2.5 cm meatballs. Add meatballs to tomato sauce, simmer until thoroughly cooked, about 15 minutes.

Step 2

Add meatballs to a pan with the Basilico sauce, simmer until cooked through, about 15 minutes.

Step 3

Meanwhile in a large pot of boiling, salted water - cook Spaghetti according to instructions on the pack.

Drain pasta and combine with the meatballs and sauce. Serve with freshly sliced basil, the remaining Parmigiano and a drizzle of olive oil.
