Serves 4
320g | Barilla Gluten Free Penne or Gluten Free Fusilli |
500g | Tomatoes, peeled and chopped |
200g | Tuna in oil, drained and flaked |
100g | Onion, peeled & chopped |
30ml | Extra Virgin Olive Oil |
4 | Basil leaves, coarsley chopped |
1 | Tbsp parsley, minced |
1 | Clove garlic |
TIP | Salt and pepper, to taste |
TIP | Optional: chilli oil or chilli flakes to garnish |

Method
Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion with the whole garlic clove. When the onion has turned golden brown, add the tomatoes, then season with salt and pepper. Cook the sauce over high heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. [If you don't have time to cook your own sauce, use Barilla Basilico].

Step 2
Add the tuna and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes. Remove the garlic clove, and add the minced parsley and the chopped basil.

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the Fusilli until it is al dente (according to pack instructions); drain.
