320g Barilla Spaghetti No.5
400g Barilla Basilico sauce
150g Guanciale, or bacon
50ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil
40g Pecorino Romano cheese, grated
TIP Salt and black pepper, to taste

Method

Step 1

Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil. Once boiling, add rock salt.

  • bacon

Step 2

Cut the guanciale or bacon into strips and sauté in a frying pan without any oil. When the guanciale is cooked, add the chilli pepper and Basilico sauce. Let everything simmer for a few minutes.
