200 g | Canned chickpeas (pre-cooked) |
4 | Egg Yolks |
100 g | Halal Pecorino, or aged sheep cheese, grated |
10 g | Smoked Paprika powder |
5 ml | E.V.O.O |
To taste | Salt |
To taste | Black pepper |

Method
Step 1
Here are six easy steps to cook a delicious and Halal Carbonara pasta:

Wash and dry the chickpeas. Roast in a pre-heated oven at 200° C for about 20 minutes, until they are toasted and crunchy.

Cook the Spaghetti "al dente" in a large pot of boiling salted water. Drain and reserve some of the cooking water.

In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with the grated Pecorino cheese. Whisk together with a little bit of cooking water, until the sauce reaches a smooth and silky consistency.

In a separate bowl, mix the toasted chickpeas with the olive oil. Add the paprika powder, salt and pepper to taste.

Toss together the Spaghetti with the sauce until creamy and mixed through. Let them sit for a minute.
