Ditalini is typically used in the rustic Italian soup, pasta e fagioli (pasta and beans) but can be used in minestrone or any other classic pasta soups. Ditalini is also a nice alternative to Penne or Rotini in pasta salad recipes where you need just a little pasta bite.

Our Chef’s tip

Salt will help flavor the pasta, but avoid adding oil as your sauce won't stick.

COOKING YOUR PASTA

Bring 4 - 6 quarts of water to a rolling boil, add salt to taste.

Add contents of package to boiling water. Stir gently.

Return to a boil. For authentic "al dente" pasta, boil uncovered, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes. For more tender pasta, boil an additional 1 minute.

Remove from heat. Drain well.

Serve immediately with your favorite Barilla sauce.
